Taxonomy
Pseudophillipsia (Nodiphillipsia) simplex was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1984). Its type specimen is PAt 16758 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Myogo-sawa, Anabuchi, Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Wordian marine siliciclastic in the Shigejizawa Formation of Japan.
