Taxonomy
Acropyge multisegmenta was named by Qian (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 39871 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhongying Section Bed 38 (QZ-26), Qinglong County, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Dalong Formation of China.
