Taxonomy
Paraipciphyllum transcaucasicum was named by Kropatcheva (1999). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 4/12873 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vedi River, Bed 12a, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Gnishik Formation of Armenia.
