Sumixam maximus
Taxonomy
Sumixam maximus was named by Béthoux and Grossmann (2011). Its type specimen is FMNH PE 60435, an exoskeleton (wings in resting position, legs, thoracic remains), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Linton, which is in a Westphalian D interdistributary bay mudstone in the Linton Formation of Indiana. It is the type species of Sumixam.
