Taxonomy
Gresslya was named by Agassiz (1843) [Sepkoski's age data: J Hett-u J Tith-u Sepkoski's reference number: 663,715]. It is not extant. Its type is Lutraria gregaria.

It was assigned to Pholadomyoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ceratomyidae by Vokes (1980), Aberhan (2004) and Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
