Taxonomy
Protoretepora undulatus was named by Lu (1982). Its type specimen is NIGP 38547 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jiaoga Za1L2, Markam County, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Jiaoga Formation of China.
