Taxonomy
Lonsdaleiastraea pulchra was named by Kropatcheva (1989). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 24/12539 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sestra Mountain, Chandalaz Horizon, Partizanskaya River, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Chandalaz Formation of the Russian Federation.
