Taxonomy
Caucasoproductus primoricus was named by Kotlyar (1989). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 87/12540 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is "Nakhodka Reef", lower quarry, which is in a Wuchiapingian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Lyudyanza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Caucasoproductus.
