Taxonomy
Xenodiscus koczyrkeviczi was named by Zakharov (1989). Its type specimen is BPI 13/820 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Severnaya Balka, Sample 550-13, Malaya Laba River, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Urushten Formation of the Russian Federation.
