Taxonomy
Molukkana was named by Krumbeck (1923) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori]. It is not extant. Its type is Molukkana seranensis.

It was assigned to Pholadomyidae by Cox et al. (1969); and to Pholadomyoida by Sepkoski (2002).
