Taxonomy
Cypraea caroniensis was named by Maury (1925). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cypraea (Muracypraea) henekeni by Weisbord (1962); it was recombined as Muracypraea caroniensis by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
