Myopholas was named by Douvillé (1908) [Sepkoski's age data: J Toar K Albi-u]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Pholadomyoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Myopholadidae by Vokes (1980) and Bouchet et al. (2010).
