Taxonomy
Straparollus cornudanus was named by Shumard (1859). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sierra Cornudas, which is in an Asselian/Artinskian carbonate limestone in Texas.
It was recombined as Euomphalus cornudanus by Kues (1995) and Spielmann et al. (2005); it was recombined as Straparollus (Euomphalus) cornudanus by Yochelson (1956) and Mazaev (2019).
