Metalegoceras baylorense

Taxonomy
Goniatites baylorensis was named by White (1891). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Old Military Crossing, Whiskey Creek, Wichita River, which is in an Artinskian coastal siliciclastic in the Clyde Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Paralegoceras baylorense by Smith (1903); it was recombined as Metalegoceras baylorense by Plummer and Scott (1937), Miller and Parizek (1948), Kues (1995) and Leonova (2002).
