Taxonomy
Paragaricocrinus yakovlevi was named by Lane (1979). Its type specimen is USNM 251281, a calyx (single, partial cup interior), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality H1, Saikra Biohermal Complex, Merbah el Guettat, Djebel Tebaga, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Saikra Biohermal Complex Formation of Tunisia.
