Siphogrammysia was named by Chernychev (1950) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 967]. It is not extant. Its type is Pholadomya kasanensis.
It was assigned to Sanguinolitinae by Morris et al. (1991); to Pholadomyoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sanguinolitidae by Galli (2013).
