Marginella venezuelana lavelana was named by Hodson (1927). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Persicula (Rabicea) venezuelana lavelana by Rutsch (1934); it was recombined as Persicula lavelana by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
