Cancellaria montserratensis was named by Maury (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Trinidad and Tobago.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cancellaria (Euclia) montserratensis by Woodring (1970) and Landau et al. (2007); it was recombined as Euclia montserratensis by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
