Taxonomy
Neospirifer mengjiushanensis was named by Lee and Su (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mengjiu Mountain, Wujiatun Formation, Ke'erqin Youyi Qianqi, which is in a Wordian/Capitanian marine horizon in the Wujiatun Formation of China.
