Drillia henekeni caroniana was named by Maury (1925). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Crassispira henekeni caroniana by Vokes (1938); it was recombined as Crassispira (Crassispira) caroniana by Jung (1969); it was recombined as Hindsiclava caroniana by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
