Taxonomy
Guettardia bisalata was named by Schrammen (1912). It is not extant. Its type locality is Sudmerberg, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian deep subtidal marl in the "Siphonia Marl" Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Guettardiscyphia bisalata by Finks et al. (2004).
