Taxonomy
Turritella subulata was named by Martin (1884) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Pliocene; Indonesia, Pakistan.]. Its type specimen is RGM 10927, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Haustator (Kurosioia) subulata by Shuto (1974); it was recombined as Turritella (Haustator) subulata by van den Hoek Ostende et al. (2002); it was recombined as Haustator subulata by Harzhauser et al. (2009).
