Taxonomy
Voluta jugosa was named by Sowerby (1839) [DISTIRBUTION: Oligocene; Europe, Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Lyria jugosa by Vredenburg (1925), Eames (1950) and Iqbal (1980); it was recombined as Lyria (Harpella) jugosa by Beets (1941); it was recombined as Lyria (Harpeola) jugosa by Harzhauser et al. (2009).
