Solarium affine was named by Sowerby (1840) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Architectonica affine by Iqbal (1980); it was recombined as Architectonica affinis by Harzhauser et al. (2009).
