Taxonomy
Metaperrinites toumanskayae was named by Leonova (1983). Its type specimen is PIN 3591/127 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Igrimiyuz Creek, Sample 16, Pamir Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kyzyldzhilga Formation of Tajikistan.
