Paraperrinites milleri was named by Toumanskaya (1949).

It was synonymized subjectively with Paraperrinites subcumminsi by Tharalson (1984); it was recombined as Metaperrinites milleri by Leonova (1983), Leonova (1989) and Leonova (2002).
