Taxonomy
Delopsocus was named by Tillyard (1928). Its type is Delopterum elongatum.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pseudomantis by Martynov (1930); it was synonymized subjectively with Delopterum by Carpenter (1933).

It was assigned to Palaeomanteidae by Rasnitsyn (2004), Rasnitsyn and Aristov (2013) and Prokop et al. (2017).
