Tullimonstrum gregarium
Taxonomy
Tullimonstrum gregarium was named by Richardson (1966). Its type specimen is CNHM PE 10504, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. Its type locality is original description of Essex fauna, Pit 11, which is in a Desmoinesian delta plain shale in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Tullimonstrum.
