Hardieopterus is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Stylonurus macrophthalmus. It is the type genus of Hardieopteridae.

It was assigned to Eurypterida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Hardieopteridae by Dunlop et al. (2013) and Dunlop et al. (2020).
