Taxonomy
Callicylix farreides was named by Schrammen (1912). It is not extant. Its type locality is Oberg, which is in a Campanian offshore shelf marl in Germany. It is the type species of Callicylix, Callicylix (Callicylix).

It was recombined as Callicylix (Callicylix) farreides by Reid (2004).
