Lucina gracilis was named by Nyst (1845). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Gonimyrtea gracilis by Glibert and de Heinzelin (1954); it was recombined as Gonimyrtea droueti gracilis by Schnetler and Palm (2008).
