Taxonomy

Mesopsyche triareolata was named by Tillyard (1917). Its type specimen is AM F.39233, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.

Synonyms

Triassopsyche dunstani was named by Tillyard (1917). Its type specimen is AM F.39228, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Triassopsyche.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mesopsyche triareolata by Riek (1956), Willmann (1978) and Lambkin (2014).
Aristopsyche superba was named by Tillyard (1919). Its type specimen is AM F.39263, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Aristopsyche.

It was recombined as Mesopsyche superba by Novokshonov (1997); it was synonymized subjectively with Mesopsyche triareolata by Riek (1956), Willmann (1978) and Lambkin (2014).
Neuropsyche elongata was named by Tillyard (1919). Its type specimen is AM F.39272, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Neuropsyche.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mesopsyche triareolata by Riek (1956), Willmann (1978) and Lambkin (2014).
