Trigonocoelia westendorpi was named by Nyst and Westendorp (1839). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Leda (Ledina) westendorpi by Heering (1942); it was recombined as Nuculana (Nuculana) westendorpi by Neuffer (1973); it was recombined as Nuculana (Saccella) westendorpi by Schnetler and Palm (2008); it was recombined as Saccella westendorpi by Moths et al. (2010).

Synonyms
  • Leda gracilis was named by Deshayes (1860). It is a 3D body fossil.

    It was recombined as Nuculana gracilis by Glibert (1957); it was synonymized subjectively with Nuculana (Saccella) westendorpi by Schnetler and Palm (2008).
