Taxonomy
Ademosyne major was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is GSQI82, an elytra, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill, Bed H (Simmonds collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Ademosyne.
