Taxonomy
Dermospheroidalis irregularis was named by Rigby et al. (2008). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lake Bridgeport, loc. 1, which is in a Missourian marine shale/limestone in the Graford Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Dermospheroidalis.
