Taxonomy
Nodonautilus formosus was named by Liang (1984). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niutoushan, Guangde County, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Longtan Formation of China. It is the type species of Nodonautilus.
