Taxonomy
Liosomena obscura was named by Liang (1990). It is a mold. Its type locality is Lengwu, basal Shiziling Member, Tonglu, which is in a Capitanian coastal marl/limestone in the Lengwu Formation of China. It is the type species of Liosomena.
