Toomeyospongia apachensis

Taxonomy
Toomeyospongia apachensis was named by Rigby et al. (1982). Its type specimen is USNM 304046 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Seven Heart Gap 2, Apache Mountains, which is in a Capitanian slope limestone in the Bell Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Toomeyospongia.
