Navajosuchus mooki
Taxonomy
Allognathosuchus mooki was named by Simpson (1930). Its type specimen is Amer. Mus. No. 6780, a partial skeleton (skull, jaws, and most of skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is De-na-zin Wash (AMNH), which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Navajosuchus mooki by Mook (1942), Brochu (1999), Brochu (2004), Puértolas et al. (2011) and Farke et al. (2014).
