Taxonomy
Eohalobia was named by Luo et al. (1982) [Jiang in Luo, Jiang, Wu, Song & Ouyang 1982 Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tomm-u Sepkoski's reference number: 951,1006]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ocruranus by Vendrasco et al. (2009).

It was assigned to Mollusca by Sepkoski (2002); to Halwaxida by Conway Morris and Caron (2007); and to Halkieriinae by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010).

P. Y. Parkhaev and Y. Demidenko 2010"Shell low conical, wide. Apex inclined and shifted up to anterior shell margin. Posterior field slightly convex, with more prominent bent near aperture. Lateral fields hardly convex, anterior field completely occupied by wide, arcuate or subtriangular sinus. Aperture rounded triangular with rectified anterior margin. External shell surface bears growth lines. Surface of internal mold smooth or ornamented by faint radial folds."
