Frechites nevadanus
Taxonomy
Ceratites nevadanus was named by Mojsisovics (1888). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cottonwood Canon, West Humboldt Range, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian carbonate limestone in Nevada.
It was recombined as Frechites nevadanus by Spath (1934), Bychkov et al. (1976), Silberling and Nichols (1982), Arkadiev and Vavilov (1989), Konstantinov (1991) and Dagis et al. (1996).
