Taxonomy
Fusiproductus transversa was named by Liao (1984). Its type specimen is NIGP 71146 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Longtan Section ACT913, Nanjing City, which is in a Changhsingian deep-water mudstone in the Dalong Formation of China.
