Taxonomy
Waagenites artemovkensis was named by Licharew and Kotlyar (1978). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 11/9210 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rossypnaya River, Pogranichnoe, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Barabash Formation of the Russian Federation.
