Taxonomy
Lithostrobilus reticulatus was named by Lagneau-Herenger (1962). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mas de Artis, which is in an Aptian coastal sandstone in Spain.

It was recombined as Cnemidiastrum reticulatus by Finks et al. (2004).
