Notothyrina pontica

Taxonomy
Notothyris (Notothyrina) pontica was named by Licharew (1936) [Notothyris (Notothyrina) pontica]. Its type specimen is TsNIGR 631/2139 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nikitina Balka, 1 km from mouth, north Caucasus, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Rostranteris (Notothyrina) pontica by Grunt and Dmitriev (1973); it was recombined as Notothyrina pontica by Smirnova (2007).
