Agnostardis was named by Opik (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm uMid-u Cm Dres-l Sepkoski's reference number: 16]. It is not extant. Its type is Agnostardis amplinatis.
It was assigned to Agnostidae by Whittington et al. (1997); to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Glyptagnostidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
