Taxonomy
Neorhombopora polita was named by Shishova (1964). Its type specimen is PIN 1790/949 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Above Kremeshka Village, Kirov Region, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Kazan Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Pictatella polita by Lisitsyn (1991).
