Chiotites globularis

Taxonomy
Prosphingites (Chiotites) globularis was named by Renz and Renz (1948). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maradovuno, Chios, which is in a Spathian slope lime mudstone in Greece. It is the type species of Chiotites.

It was recombined as Chiotites globularis by Kummel (1969) and Mertmann and Jacobshagen (2003).
