Taxonomy
Corynella mexicana was named by Rigby and Scott (1981). It is not extant. Its type locality is Sierra Anibacichi, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Mural Formation of Mexico.
It was recombined as Endostoma mexicana by Finks et al. (2004).
