Korobovia was named by Jell (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto-u Sepkoski's reference number: 923]. It is not extant. Its type is Korobovia ocellata.

It was assigned to Calodiscidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002).
